Job summary

InfoTech Services (Hong Kong) Limited is seeking a Senior Business Analysis / Solution Analyst for a renewable long-term project with the Judiciary. The role involves gathering requirements, translating business needs into IT solutions, and coordinating with development teams and end users.

You will manage timelines, budgets, and communications, and participate in testing, training, and user acceptance activities. Strong English skills and stakeholder management are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in project coordination and ability to manage timelines and deliverables.
• Excellent spoken and written English; Good Putonghua is an advantage.
• Bachelor's degree/Higher Diploma in Computer Science or IT; 4+ years post-qualification experience.
• Ability to communicate with stakeholders and translate business needs to IT solutions.

Responsibilities

• Gathering user requirements through structured meetings to ensure needs are captured.
• Act as a bridge between frontline staff and senior management, translating needs into business solutions.
• Coordinate with the application team and end users to drive open actions to closure.
• Develop test cases and participate in user acceptance testing reflecting business requirements.

• Directly report to the Senior Manager and communicate project status to stakeholders.

Job description

Senior Business Analysis / Solution Analyst (renewable long-term project post)

To assist the Judiciary in taking forward the design and development work for the implementation of projects under the IT Strategy Plan.

Duties:

The candidate will be responsible for the

1) Business Analysis:

Gathering user requirements through structured meetings to ensure all needs are accurately captured;

Act as a strategic bridge between operational front-line staff and senior management, translating complex user needs into actionable business solutions through versatile, high-impact communication.

Coordinating with the application team and/or end users to drive open action items to closure;

Conducting quality control inspections and testing to identify defects and non-conformities in applications;

Assisting in the development of test cases and participating in user acceptance testing, ensuring that all scenarios reflect business requirements;

Conducting user training and ensure users are equipped to effectively utilize the application.

Scheduling and coordinating user meetings, ensuring all necessary participants are included; and

Managing project timelines, work plans, and budgets to ensure tasks stay on schedule and

Directly report to the Senior Manager

2) Communication:

Coordinating between technical teams and business units to align project goals.

Responding to inquiries and provide updates on project statuses; and

Facilitating effective communication among team members.

Requirements:

Experience in project coordination, demonstrating the ability to manage timelines and deliverables;

Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly to various stakeholders;

Initiative and ability to work independently, taking ownership of tasks and driving them to completion;

Strong logical thinking and business acumen;

Strong sense of ownership and accountability;

Technical Skills:

At least 1 year's experience in IT Planning;

6 months' experience in IT Application Development and Management is an advantage.

Non-technical Skills:

At least 1 year's experience in Business Process Modeling;

Good coordination skills is a must;

At least 1 year's experience in presentation;

1 year's experience in budgetary control computer maintenance is an advantage;

1 year's experience in customer relations is an advantage;

1 year's experience in event management is an advantage;

1 year's experience in Government procurement/disposal procedures is an advantage;

Excellent spoken English is an advantage;

Excellent written English is an advantage;

Good Putonghua is an advantage;

1 year's experience in negotiation is an advantage;

1 year's experience in IT service/outsourcing management is an advantage;

6 months' experience in quality assurance is an advantage.

Bachelor's degree/Higher Diploma in Computer Science, IT or equivalent;

At least 4 years' post-qualification experience in which at least 1 year's relevant experience in a similar post and in a comparable capacity.
