Job summary

Cathay Pacific is seeking an Automation Development professional to lead intelligent automation across IT operations, tackling workflow automation, log ingestion, auto-healing, and AI/ML powered services to improve reliability.

You will partner with business users, architects, and vendors, translating needs into scalable solutions from design through deployment and production support, using AWS, Azure, APIs, and DevOps practices to deliver dependable digital experiences.

Qualifications

5+ years in IT with software development lifecycle exposure.
Strong knowledge of ITSM and ITIL practices.
Hands-on experience with JavaScript, Python, Ansible, PowerShell, REST APIs, JSON, XML.
Experience with AWS and Azure cloud platforms.
Familiarity with AI/ML, chatbots, and AIOps.
Experience in Agile/Scrum, DevOps practices.
Experience with CI/CD and monitoring tools (Jenkins, GitLab, ELK).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

Deliver secure, scalable automation solutions in collaboration with stakeholders.
Translate requirements into technical design and implementation plans.
Participate in Agile Scrum delivery as needed (Scrum Master, PO, or developer).
Self-manage priorities and risks to ensure timely delivery.
Promote cross-functional collaboration with clear communication and documentation.
Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain automation solutions.
Provide Level 2/3 production support and issue resolution.
Partner with leads to define approaches for web and mobile apps.
Support monitoring, AI/ML, AIOps, ITSM platforms.
