Job summary

Lenovo Inc. is seeking a capable professional to join the Simultaneous Interpretation Unit (SIU) who will install, operate and maintain SIS and AV systems for conferences. The candidate will lead a small team and ensure quality service in operation and maintenance.

The role requires a Higher Diploma in Engineering and 4 years of relevant experience, with Cantonese and English proficiency. Electrical Worker Grade A0 certification is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Higher Diploma in Engineering (Electronic / Electrical / IT / Computer Engineering or related discipline)
• 4 years' relevant experience in audio-visual systems or electronic maintenance preferred
• Holder of Electrical Worker registration Grade A0 or above is an advantage
• Fluent Cantonese and good written English

Responsibilities

• Lead a small team to provide quality services in operation and maintenance of AV and electronic systems.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of AV and electronic equipment.
• Implement projects for upgrading and expansion of existing systems or for new requirements.
• Prepare operation and maintenance records or job sheets.
• Assist in updating drawings, manuals, and other relevant operation and maintenance documents.
• Assist in updating equipment inventory and stock records.
• Assist in staff training.
• Perform shift and overtime duties as required.

The candidate will report to the Assistant Engineer (AE) of the Simultaneous Interpretation Unit (SIU). The job-holder assists in the installation, operation and maintenance of Simultaneous Interpretation Systems (SIS), audio-visual systems and other conference facilities.

• To lead a small team to offer quality services in the operation and maintenance of audio-visual and electronic systems.
• To carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of the audio-visual and electronic equipment.
• To implement projects for upgrading and expansion of existing systems or for new requirements.
• To prepare the records or job sheets of operation and maintenance.
• To assist in updating drawings, manuals, and other relevant documents for operation and maintenance.
• To assist in updating equipment inventory and stock records.

Job Requirement:

Higher Diploma in Engineering (Electronic / Electrical / IT / Computer Engineering or related discipline) plus 4 years' relevant experience in audio-visual systems or electronic maintenance work is preferred.

A holder of the Certification of registration of Electrical worker (Grade A0 or above) is an advantage.

An interest or background in video editing is a plus.

Fluent spoken Cantonese and good written English are required.
