Job summary

Lenovo is seeking a candidate to join the Simultaneous Interpretation Unit, reporting to the Assistant Engineer. The role involves installation, operation, and maintenance of SIS, A/V systems, and related conference facilities in a demanding environment.

You will lead a small team, perform preventive and corrective maintenance, and participate in upgrading and expanding systems. Strong Cantonese and English skills are required.

Qualifications

Higher Diploma in Engineering (Electronic / Electrical / IT / Computer Engineering or related discipline) plus 4 years' relevant experience in audio-visual systems or electronic maintenance work is preferred.
A holder of the Certification of registration of Electrical worker (Grade A0 or above) is an advantage.
An interest or background in video editing is a plus.
Fluent spoken Cantonese and good written English are required.
Fresh graduates and junior candidates with strong learning agility and a positive attitude will also be considered.

To carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of the audio-visual and electronic equipment.
To implement projects for upgrading and expansion of existing systems or for new requirements.
To prepare the records or job sheets of operation and maintenance.
To assist in updating drawings, manuals, and other relevant documents for operation and maintenance.
To assist in updating equipment inventory and stock records.
To assist in training staff.
To perform shift and overtime duties as required.

The candidate will report to the Assistant Engineer (AE) of the Simultaneous Interpretation Unit (SIU). The job-holder assists in the installation, operation and maintenance of Simultaneous Interpretation Systems (SIS), audio-visual systems and other conference facilities.
