The Bank of East Asia (BEA) is seeking an AI & Data Solution Manager in Hong Kong. You will drive AI and digital transformation projects from initiation to closure, aligning with business goals and risk controls.

You will gather requirements, define scope, and coordinate AI developers, vendors, and business users to deliver timely, high‑quality outcomes, while ensuring compliance with data governance and security standards.

Qualifications

• 7+ years IT experience in related domains.
• Experience in technology research, evaluation, and adoption.
• Knowledge of banking products and services is preferred.

Responsibilities

Job description

• Support the full project lifecycle for AI and digital transformation initiatives, from initiation and planning through execution, delivery, and closure.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements, define project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and success criteria.
• Coordinate project resources, including AI developers, technical teams, vendors, and business users, to ensure timely and quality delivery.
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, risk registers, and issue logs, and proactively manage dependencies and constraints.
• Facilitate project governance, decision making, and change control processes.
• Ensure project deliverables comply with enterprise standards, security requirements, data governance, and quality expectations.
• Support user adoption activities such as rollout planning, stakeholder communication, training coordination, and post implementation review.
• Partner with developers to implement innovative solutions, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
• Liaise with fintech community and conduct research to discover and validate innovative technologies that enhance banking services as well as customer relations
• Perform cost and benefits analysis on adopting innovation solutions
• Define the high-level solution architecture of innovation solutions with consideration of bank architecture
• Comply with all applicable regulations, rules, codes, guidelines and standards set by regulators and the Bank, and carry out duties with high integrity
• Adhere to all established risk control guidelines, procedures and measures to identify, assess, report, mitigate and monitor the risks involved in the day-to-day work

Requirements

• Preferably 7+ years of IT experience, covering the areas outlined below:
• Experience in technology research, evaluation, innovation, and adoption is preferred.
• Knowledge of banking products and services in one or more domains in Personal Banking, Wealth Management, Wholesale Banking, Treasury Markets, and Compliance is preferred
• Deep understanding of Machine Learning and statistical modeling. Ability to articulate the suitability of various models for different business problems
• Experience in AI Domains relevant to banking, including predictive analytics, time-series forecasting, anomalies detection, NLP, OCR
• Knowledge of Python, SQL, and AI models is essential
• Knowledge of AL/ML Services on different cloud platforms is highly desirable
• Demonstrated ability to quickly learn, assess, and apply new technologies, including evaluating their business and technical effectiveness
• Self‑motivated and detail‑oriented, able to work independently with sound judgment and strong decision‑making capabilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively, facilitate discussions, and negotiate with stakeholders.
• Strong leadership and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across teams and drive initiatives to successful outcomes.
• Experience in consulting is preferred but not a must
• Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, fluent in Putonghua is preferable.
