Job summary

We R Family Foundation Limited in Hong Kong is seeking a Senior Accounting Officer to manage full-scope general ledger operations, month-end closing, and multi-source funding reporting.

The role requires a Diploma or above in Accounting, with HKSA or ACCA a plus, and experience in NGO or government-funded projects; proficiency in Oracle/Kingdee/MYOB and advanced Excel is preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma or above in Accounting, Finance or related disciplines.
• First level of professional accounting qualification HKSA or ACCA is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Handle full-scope general ledger operations, including journal entries, bank reconciliations, and routine accounting transactions.
• Execute month-end and year-end closing procedures, producing accurate monthly financial reports for various service units.
• Administer multi-source funding streams, ensuring strict separation, monitoring, and reporting between government grants and private/charitable foundation donations.
• Coordinate annual financial audits, regulatory reviews, and fund-specific audit submissions required by government bodies and donors.
• Reinforce internal financial controls, optimize approval workflows, and maintain audit-ready records across all service centers.

The We R Family Foundation Limited was founded in 2010 by a dedicated group of business leaders and professionals in Hong Kong. Senior Accounting Officer

Key Responsibilities

• Handle full-scope general ledger operations, including journal entries, bank reconciliations, and routine accounting transactions.
• Execute month-end and year-end closing procedures, producing accurate monthly financial reports for various service units.
• Administer multi-source funding streams, ensuring strict separation, monitoring, and reporting between government grants (e.g., SWD / Community Care Fund for On-Campus After-School Care) and private/charitable foundation donations.
• Coordinate annual financial audits, regulatory reviews, and specialized fund-specific audit submissions required by government bodies and philanthropic donors.
• Reinforce internal financial controls, optimize approval workflows, and maintain audit-ready records across all service centers.

Requirements

Education & Experience

• Diploma or above in Accounting, Finance or related disciplines
• First level of professional accounting qualification HKSA or ACCA is a plus

Sector Knowledge

• Experience in social service NGOs, educational programs, or government-funded project accounting (e.g., SWD/CCF subvention, Lotteries Fund, or Jockey Club grants) is highly advantageous.
• Solid understanding of cost allocation, project-based accounting, and fund management.
• Proficient in accounting software / ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, Kingdee, MYOB, or similar) and advanced MS Excel functions.
• Hands-on experience in supporting system implementation or process digital automation is preferred.

• Strong knowledge of financial reporting controls, documentation standards, and compliance.
• Meticulous attention to detail, highly organized, and solution-oriented with good interpersonal skills.
