Job summary

Tokalent in Hong Kong seeks a Senior Accountant to maintain accurate financial records, reconcile accounts, and support audits. You will process expenses, assist budgeting, and provide timely financial information to the Head of Finance.

You are a proactive, self-motivated professional with at least 3 years in accounting, fluent in English and Chinese, and comfortable using MS Office and Sage in a fast-growing Web3 environment.

Qualifications

• Degree holder in Finance/Accounting/Business Administration with at least 3 years of accounting experience.
• Experience at a Big4 is highly advantageous.
• Proficiency in MS Office and Sage.
• Proactive, self-motivated with problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Fluent in English and Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese).

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records by recording transactions in journals and ledgers.
• Reconcile bank statements with general ledger accounts and identify discrepancies.
• Review employee expense reports and process reimbursements.
• Assist audits by preparing schedules and documentation.
• Support budgeting and forecasting tasks for the Head of Finance.
• Collaborate with finance and other departments to provide financial information as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records by recording transactions in journals, ledgers, and accounting software.
• Reconcile bank statements with general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
• Review employee expense reports, ensure compliance with company policies, and process reimbursements.
• Provide support during internal and external audits by preparing audit schedules, gathering documentation, and addressing auditor inquiries.
• Assist the Head of Finance with ad hoc financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting tasks as required.
• Assist the Head of Finance in building a scalable, efficient, and successful finance function and team
• Collaborate with colleagues in finance, as well as other departments, to address accounting-related queries and provide financial information as needed.

Requirements:

• Degree holder in Finance / Accounting / Business Administration with at least 3 years of accounting experiences
• Previous experience at big4 accounting firms is highly advantageous
• Proficiency in MS Office and accounting software (Sage)
• Proactive, Self-motivated, problem solving skills and able to work independently
• Speaks fluent in both English and Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese)
