Job summary

Welcome Big4 in Hong Kong seeks an Accountant to manage daily finance operations, budgeting and forecasting, and to support system automation. The role requires a hands-on finance professional who can work with cross‑functional teams and deliver accurate financial insights.

Ideal candidates have a 2–3 year Big4 FS audit background, a degree in finance or accounting, and strong communication skills in English and Chinese.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration (2–3 years Big4 FS audit experience preferred).
• Qualified Accountant is a plus but not required.
• Proficient in financial software and MS Office; able to extract and analyze data.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to collaborate across teams.
• Fluency in English and Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections.
• Analyze financial data and collaborate with finance to develop budgeting and forecasting strategies.
• Manage weekly cash flow, monitor bank accounts, and ensure liquidity for operations.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation in accounting workflows.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights for decision-making.
• Support Head of Finance on ad-hoc projects as needed.

About Your Company

Our client is a fast-growing investment management firm focused on early-stage technology startups. With offices in Hong Kong, Shanghai, and San Francisco, the company has a portfolio of over 50 innovative companies across a diverse range of industries, including fintech, e-commerce, and enterprise software. With the rapid expansion, our client is actively looking to add a new headcount to their finance team to handle daily finance operations, budgeting & forecasting as well as to support system automation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the company's accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments and collections
  
• Analyze financial data and work closely with the finance team to develop and implement effective budgeting and forecasting strategies
  
• Manage weekly cash flow, including monitoring bank accounts, processing payments, and ensuring sufficient liquidity to support business operations
  
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to enhance the efficiency of the accounting and finance functions
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making
  
• Assist with ad-hoc projects and tasks as assigned by the Head of Finance
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration, with at least 2-3 years of Big4 FS audit experience is preferred
  
• Qualified Accountant will be a PLUS but not a MUST
• Proficient in using financial software and MS Office suite, with the ability to extract and analyze data
  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with teams across the organization
  
• Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently to solve complex problems
  
• Fluency in both English and Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese) is preferred
  
• Candidates with relevant in-house experience may also consider for a Senior Accountant title
