Job summary

The GMP Group in Hong Kong is seeking a dedicated maintenance specialist to assist in the design, selection, and installation of equipment and accessories used in semiconductor manufacturing.

You will collaborate with engineers to ensure specifications are met, develop preventive maintenance schedules, troubleshoot complex issues, and test accessory compatibility while supporting production and R&D teams to improve performance.

Qualifications

• Diploma/NITEC/Higher NITEC in mechanical/electrical/electronics/mechatronics/industrial engineering or related field.
• Experience in equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, or engineering support in manufacturing.
• Familiarity with semiconductor production tools, equipment accessories and processes is an advantage.
• Experience using CAD software for component modelling and design.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design, selection, and installation of equipment, machinery, and accessory components.
• Work with engineers to ensure equipment specifications and design requirements are met.
• Develop and carry out preventive maintenance schedules for all equipment and accessories.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control system issues; perform repairs when required.
• Monitor and evaluate equipment performance; identify improvement opportunities and implement upgrades.
• Work closely with production, quality, process engineers, maintenance, and R&D teams to address issues and improve production performance.
• Test accessory compatibility with semiconductor manufacturing tools and conduct performance evaluations.
• Solve issues related to accessories during testing, installation, or operation.
• Support optimisation efforts to reduce equipment downtime, improve efficiency, and lower production costs.
