Job summary

The Education University of Hong Kong is seeking an Officer-in-Charge of the Security Control Centre to manage security operations across the campus. The role requires supervising a security team, coordinating with contractors, and handling enquiries and complaints.

You will monitor access control, CCTV, car park systems, and implement up-to-date security protocols, conduct site inspections, and respond to emergencies such as typhoons. Shift work and outside-hours duties are expected.

Qualifications

• Form 5 or above education; relevant security training preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of security work experience, including at least 2 years as an officer or supervisor in tertiary institutions or large organizations.
• Possess a valid Security Personnel Permit.
• Class 1 or 2 driving license preferred.
• Basic PC skills in Word, Excel and Outlook; able to communicate in English and Chinese (Putonghua preferred).

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Security Control Centre, handle security and emergency matters, and assist with enquiries or complaints.
• Supervise security team performance and monitor contractors’ service.
• Monitor access control, car park management and CCTV systems; ensure daily operations comply with security protocols.
• Conduct regular inspections of security posts, patrol routes, and campus facilities.
• Prepare and consolidate reports; manage paper and online application forms.
• Perform special duties during typhoons and other emergencies; work outside normal hours as required.
