Job summary

Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong, is seeking a Reservations Sales Agent to join the Reservations team. Based in Hong Kong, you will record and process room reservations made by phone, email, or online chats, converting inquiries to sales when possible.

You will collaborate with other departments, ensure accurate data entry into the PMS, and generate reservations reports while providing excellent service in English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin).

Qualifications

  • University graduate.
  • Experience in Reservations or Customer Services is an advantage.
  • Fluent in English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin).
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with computers and PMS systems.

Responsibilities

  • Handle hotel reservations inquiries via phone, email, and online chats.
  • Input reservations into the PMS accurately.
  • Coordinate with other departments to share pertinent information.
  • Prepare reservations-related reports and organize group bookings.
  • Upsell hotel services (restaurants, Spa, fitness) to guests.

About The Job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong within Reservations Department in Hong Kong, the Reservations Sales Agent is responsible for recording and processing all room reservations made by phone, email other booking platform and online chats efficiently and accurately. Convert all reservation inquiries to sales where possible to meet hotel targets. The Reservations Sales Agent reports to the Reservations Manager.

As Reservations Sales Agent, you will be responsible for the following duties:
  • Handle hotel reservations inquiries through multiple platforms
  • Data input into the PMS system in the correct format as set in the PMS Operational Manual
  • Ensure communication with other departments is well maintained with information which pertains to them
  • Prepare various reservations related reports
  • Organise correspondence and group reservations
  • Upsell hotel services including but not limited to restaurant reservations, Spa and fitness offers that delights our guests.
As Reservations Sales Agent, We Expect From You
  • University graduate
  • Related working experience in Reservations or Customer Services will be an advantage
  • Excellent communication skills and fluent in both written and spoken English, Chinese including Cantonese and Mandarin
  • Excellent organisational and computer skills
  • Other foreign language literacy is a plus.
