Job summary

City University of Hong Kong is seeking an Executive Officer I/II in the Research Grants and Contracts Office to support the implementation of a research compliance monitoring framework and oversee sponsor requirements.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years’ post-qualification experience, excellent English and Chinese language skills, and strong analytical and communication abilities to manage multiple tasks under tight timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 7 years’ post-qualification experience.
• Strong command of English and Chinese (including Putonghua) in written and spoken form.
• Robust analytical, organisational and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for broad stakeholder engagement.
• Proactive, meticulous, and capable of handling multiple tasks under tight timelines.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Support implementation and operation of the university’s research compliance monitoring framework.
• Coordinate monitoring activities, reviews of funding conditions and sponsor requirements.
• Assist in governance across research integrity, data management, security and cross-border collaboration.
• Provide guidance to project teams on compliance matters via briefings and communications.
• Prepare statistics, analyses and management information to support decision-making.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on project compliance and governance.
• Support funder reviews, audits and information requests; help implement follow-up actions.
