Job summary

DBS Bank in Hong Kong seeks a Relationship Management professional within Corporate and Investment Banking. You will identify opportunities, structure credit facilities, and negotiate terms for mid-cap clients, while ensuring compliance with SFO, HKMA, and HKSI requirements.

The role requires strong credit analysis, market insight, and excellent English and Putonghua communication, with RI registration and related licensing passes. This is a full-time, on-site position at The Center in Hong Kong.

Qualifications

• Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or Economics.
• Strong credit evaluation skills.
• Excellent English and Putonghua communication.
• Registered RI (Type 1 & 4) with HKSI papers 1, 7 & 8 or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Identify business opportunities from new and existing customers.
• Structure credit facilities to meet customer needs and protect the Bank's interests.
• Negotiate pricing with customers.
• Monitor account performance to ensure good utilization and control delinquencies.
• Provide prompt responses to customer inquiries on banking operations.
• Liaise with other departments to resolve customer issues.
• Obtain up-to-date market information and help develop new products.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (SFO, HKMA, HKSI, SFC).

Responsibilities

• Identify potential business opportunities from both new and existing customers.
• Structure credit facilities to meet customer’s requirement as well as to protect our Bank’s interest.
• Negotiate pricing arrangement with customers.
• Monitor account performance to ensure good utilization of facilities and to control overdue situations.
• Provide prompt and courteous response to customer inquiries in respect of all aspects of banking operations.
• Liaise with other departments to solve problems encountered by customers.
• Obtain up-to-date market information in the baking industry and help develop new products.
• Comply with all regulatory requirements imposed by regulatory authorities, and policies, standards, lending guidelines and procedures of the Bank.
• Perform regulated activities, type 1 and 4 specified under the Securities and Futures Ordinance (SFO).
• Comply with the registered capacity as well as any conditions imposed by the HKMA and other regulator bodies. This includes compliance with the applicable requirements of the Code of conduct for Persons Licensed by or Registered with the SFC.

Requirements

• Preferably degree holder in Business Administration, Marketing or Economics
• Good credit evaluation skill and good teamwork spirit
• Good communication in both spoken and written English and Putonghua
• Strong marketing and credit analysis skills for Mid-Cap clients
• Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
• Must be registered RI (Regulated Activities: Type 1 & 4) with passes in HKSI Licensing Examination Papers 1, 7& 8; or equivalent
