Job summary

CLSA, a leading financial services firm in Hong Kong, seeks a senior Payroll & Benefits specialist to provide regional payroll, compensation and benefits advice to the HR team. The role requires close collaboration with internal finance, legal, compliance, IT, overseas COOs and external providers.

The ideal candidate will manage payroll solutions, renewals, insurance and retirement plans, while ensuring compliance with global standards.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified (Bachelor, Master preferred) in HR/finance.
• 1
• 5 years regional payroll/compensation/benefits experience.
• Advanced Excel skills (formulas, tables, charts, XLOOKUP, Mail Merge).
• Experience with Workday and ADP Celergo is advantageous.
• Organized with strong attention to detail and analytical mindset.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English and Chinese (Putonghua).
• Independent, under pressure, and a good team player.
• Able to work with diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Oversee regional payroll operations and renewals of payroll solutions.
• Coordinate with providers; advise overseas admins to ensure timely, accurate, compliant payrolls.
• Renew group insurance plans; liaise with brokers and insurers from census to invoicing.
• Collaborate with HRBP and local admins to ensure consistent benefit practices.
• Work with trustee/plan advisors on Group Retirement Plan administration.
• Coordinate wellness activities aligning with employee wellness agenda.
• Conduct market research and participate in surveys for insights.
• Support annual bonus and salary review processes with data checks and communications.
• Identify opportunities to streamline operational processes.
• Provide timely information and reports as requested.
• Participate in other HR tasks or projects.
