Job summary

The Hong Kong Jockey Club is seeking a Captain to lead dining operations at Happy Valley and Sha Tin Racecourses. This role requires professional hospitality experience in high-end clubs or hotels and fluency in English and Cantonese.

You will supervise service standards, coach staff, assist with promotions, ensure SOPs, and maintain equipment. The position offers exposure to prestigious racing venues and a dynamic, fast-paced work environment.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in clubs or hotels with experience in Chinese restaurants.
Strong communication in English and Cantonese for diverse Members and guests.
Proven ability to maintain high-end hospitality standards in prestige venues.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily outlet operations to ensure service excellence and proper mise-en-place.
Ensure SOP compliance and health/safety standards across stations.
Escort Members to tables, present menus, take orders accurately and efficiently.
Coach new staff to maintain service standards and foster teamwork.
Support marketing and promotional activities and manage promotional counters.
Maintain equipment and coordinate repair/maintenance as needed.
