Job summary

The Hong Kong Jockey Club is seeking an experienced Food & Beverage Captain for our Derby restaurant. You will deliver premium service to Members and guests, lead the assigned section, and oversee setup and decoration to maintain top standards.

The role requires at least 5 years in luxury hospitality, including 2 years in a captain or supervisor role, with fluent English; French or other languages are a plus, and wine knowledge is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in luxury hotels or French fine-dining restaurants, including at least 2 years in a Captain or equivalent supervisory role.
• Sound knowledge of food and beverage service standards, with a strong passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
• Fluent spoken English is required; proficiency in French or additional languages will be an advantage.
• Wine knowledge or formal wine training will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent food and beverage services to Members and their guests in west premium restaurant (Derby).
• Be responsible for smooth and efficient service flow of the assigned section in the Restaurant.
• Lead the set-up and decoration work of the Restaurant.
• Train new staff members in accordance to established guidelines.
• Keep the service standard at top quality and achieve high level of customer satisfactions.
• Maintain the high level of hygiene and quality standard for the restaurant.
