Job summary

HKU School of Innovation invites applications for a Senior Technical Officer / Technical Officer on a one-year temporary basis, with potential renewal subject to performance. The role focuses on sustaining the prototyping workshop, supporting teaching and research activities, and leading hands-on workshops for student projects.

Qualifications

Higher diploma or bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
Experience in robotics, electronics, embedded systems (C/Python), and Fusion 360.
Strong hands-on prototyping capability with rapid mechatronics.
Experience operating prototyping tools such as 3D printers and laser cutters.
Good written and spoken Chinese and English; fresh graduates or less-experienced candidates may be considered.

Responsibilities

Maintain the School’s prototyping workshop.
Support teaching, research and prototyping activities for project-based courses.
Conduct workshops and assist students with innovative projects.
Provide technical support for daily operations of the School.
