NEX Corporation is seeking a Hardware Prototype Engineer for a part-time two-month engagement in Hong Kong. This hands-on role focuses on building and refining electronics and enclosures, collaborating with software engineers and researchers to turn concepts into reliable prototypes.

You’ll design circuits and PCBs, create mechanical enclosures with CAD and 3D printing, assemble and debug prototypes, and document build details for the team.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience building working electronic prototypes including circuit design and board bring-up.
• Hands-on CAD experience and rapid enclosure prototyping (e.g., 3D printing).
• Experience with microcontrollers, sensors, wireless modules, and battery-powered electronics.
• Clear communication and ability to document issues and options for software engineers.

Responsabilités

• Design and modify circuits and PCBs; select and integrate components.
• Create mechanical CAD and 3D-printed enclosures with practical mounting solutions.
• Assemble, bring up, rework, and debug prototypes using lab measurements.
• Collaborate on firmware and software integration, addressing interface, connectivity, and power issues.
• Iterate quickly from test findings and produce reliable prototype units.
• Document schematics, PCB files, BOMs, CAD, assembly instructions, and known limitations.
