Job summary

ST Engineering Infa Systems Limited is seeking a Project Engineer to coordinate and support IT, telecom, and structured cabling infrastructure across multiple sites. You will manage on-site installation, testing, and coordination with contractors and vendors, ensuring alignment with project requirements and drawings.

The role emphasizes inspection, progress tracking, and timely issue resolution, with strong communication and hands-on problem-solving essential for successful handover and project

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in IT, telecom, electronics, electrical engineering, or related discipline.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in IT, telecom, structured cabling, ELV, system integration, or project engineering.
• Able to read and understand construction drawings, cabling layouts, shop drawings, and network diagrams.
• Good understanding of IT infrastructure, telecom systems, structured cabling, and/or PBX/IP-PBX systems is preferred.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD or other computer drawing software is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and support the implementation of IT, telecom, structured cabling, and related infrastructure projects
• Coordinate onsite installation, cabling, equipment installation, testing, and related construction works
• Review and coordinate cabling layouts, network diagrams, shop drawings, and construction drawings to ensure works are carried out according to project requirements
• Conduct regular site inspections and monitor work progress, workmanship, and quality
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, vendors, customers, consultants, and other trades to ensure smooth project execution
• Identify and resolve onsite technical and coordination issues, and follow up with the relevant parties for timely resolution
• Monitor project progress and coordinate activities according to the project schedule and required completion dates
• Participate in project coordination meetings and weekly progress/checkpoint meetings, including preparation and follow-up of meeting minutes and action items
• Participate in Testing & Commissioning (T&C) activities, including coordinating testing schedules, preparing/following up testing requirements, and resolving technical issues during T&C
• Coordinate with vendors and technical teams during system implementation, testing, commissioning, and handover

About you

3–5 years of relevant experience in IT, telecom, structured cabling, ELV, system integration, or project engineering

Able to read and understand construction drawings, cabling layouts, shop drawings, and network diagrams

Good understanding of IT infrastructure, telecom systems, structured cabling, and/or PBX/IP-PBX systems is preferred

Knowledge of AutoCAD or other computer drawing software is preferred

Familiar with Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office applications

Experience in Testing & Commissioning (T&C) and customer acceptance testing is preferred

Good communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, contractors, vendors, and internal teams

Able to work independently, solve onsite problems, and manage multiple tasks according to project schedules

Willing to work onsite and travel to project sites when required
