Gateway Technology Development Co Ltd is seeking a hands-on ICT/ELV technician to design, deploy, test and maintain infrastructure for door access systems and related technologies.
The role involves site surveys, preparing drawings, coordinating with contractors, and performing cabling and equipment installation, testing and commissioning. Strong bilingual Chinese/English is preferred, with on‑site work as a must.
Design, deploy, test and maintain ICT infrastructure, ELV solutions and Door Access Systems
Maintain up-to-date drawings, test records, installation configurations and acceptance reports
To conduct site surveys before project commencement, including inspecting conduit routes, cabling pathways and proposed equipment locations for renovation sites or occupied premises
To prepare or mark up drawings after site surveys, including cable routes, wall-mounted network outlets, CCTV camera locations and Wi‑Fi AP locations
To coordinate with contractors and technicians on implementation projects of ICT / ELV / Door Access infrastructure systems, including delivery, cabling, installation, configuration, testing and maintenance
To perform or supervise structured cabling works, CCTV installation, Wi‑Fi AP installation and relevant equipment configuration
To prepare testing, commissioning and acceptance reports for clients upon project completion
To provide basic troubleshooting and maintenance support for ICT, network, ELV and Door Access systems
Exposure to and knowledge of the following
Basic ICT / ELV / Door Access equipment configuration
Site survey, ICT / ELV / Door Access layout marking, installation coordination, testing and commissioning procedures
Basic understanding of network connectivity, PoE, IP addressing, wireless coverage and cable testing
Basic network knowledge including Routing (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP) and Switching (VLAN, VxLAN)
Good command of both written and spoken Chinese and English; Mandarin is preferable
Able to work well under pressure and with minimal supervision
Willing to work on‑site and coordinate with contractors, technicians and clients
