Job summary

Arup Hong Kong is seeking a seasoned Project Coordinator to support delivery of complex infrastructure projects across Hong Kong and East Asia. You will ensure governance, controls, budgeting and stakeholder communications are aligned with quality standards while collaborating with PMs and clients.

Qualified candidates will have a Civil Engineering degree, corporate membership, 5+ years of experience in project coordination or related fields, and fluency in English and Chinese.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
  • Corporate member of relevant professional institution(s).
  • At least 5 years of experience in project coordination, project controls, project administration, or project management within a professional services, engineering, or construction environment.
  • Experience with civil engineering designs of infrastructure projects and familiarity with HKSAR Government procedures.
  • Experience supporting multidisciplinary projects through the lifecycle from initiation to close-out.
  • Understanding of contract administration, commercial management principles, and project delivery frameworks.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate project governance, programme controls, resource planning, financial administration, and stakeholder communications to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
  • Work closely with Project Managers, technical leaders, clients, and external partners to enable technical excellence while maintaining robust project controls.
  • Provide proactive coordination and operational leadership across the project lifecycle.

The Hong Kong Infrastructure Group is strengthening its project coordination capability to support the delivery of complex infrastructure projects across Hong Kong and the wider East Asia. The team is involved in a diverse portfolio of civil and highways infrastructure projects.

The Project Coordinator is responsible for coordinating project governance, programme controls, resource planning, financial administration, and stakeholder communications to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with quality and compliance requirements. Working closely with Project Managers, technical leaders, clients, and external partners. He/she provides proactive coordination and operational leadership, enabling project teams to focus on technical excellence while maintaining robust project controls and effective collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.

Is this role right for you?
  • Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
  • Corporate member of relevant professional institution(s)
  • At least 5 years of experience relevant to project coordination, project controls, project administration, or project management experience within a professional services, engineering,, or construction environment.
  • Good experience and skills in project management and civil engineering designs of infrastructure projects and familiar with local procedures of HKSAR Government in the implementation of infrastructure projects
  • Experience supporting multidisciplinary projects throughout the project lifecycle, from project initiation through to close-out.
  • Understanding of contract administration, commercial management principles, and project delivery frameworks.
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese
