Job summary

Arup Hong Kong is seeking a Civil Engineer to join the Infrastructure Group. You will deliver civil/structural design for highways, bridges, and site developments, and provide design coordination and multi-disciplinary integration across projects in East Asia.

The role requires a degree in Civil Engineering, HKIE membership or equivalent, and chartered status at senior level; candidates should have 5+ years post-charter experience, strong project management skills, and proficiency in English.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
  • Corporate member of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (Civil Discipline) or relevant professional institution(s).
  • Fresh chartered for Engineer or more than 5 years post-chartered experience for Senior Engineer.
  • Experience in project management and civil engineering designs of infrastructure projects; familiar with HKSAR Government procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Provide engineering design, technical analysis and project delivery support.
  • Collaborate with transportation, structures, geotechnical, water, utilities, environmental, sustainability and BIM teams to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Contribute to project coordination and client engagement across East Asia infrastructure projects.

The Role Provides Hands-on Expertise In
  • Civil and/or structural engineering design, including highways, bridges, and site developments.
  • Design coordination and multidisciplinary integration across infrastructure projects

The ideal candidate will operate as a Civil Engineer, providing engineering design, technical analysis and project delivery support while working closely with transportation, structures, geotechnical, water, utilities, environmental, sustainability and BIM teams to deliver integrated solutions. The candidate will also contribute to project coordination, client engagement, technical excellence initiatives and the successful delivery of strategic infrastructure projects across the East Asia business.

  • Fresh chartered for the position of Engineer and and more than 5 years post chartered experience for the position of Senior Engineer
  • Good experience and skills in project management and civil engineering designs of infrastructure projects and familiar with local procedures of HKSAR Government in the implementation of infrastructure projects
  • Proficient in the design of one or all of the following civil engineering design aspects including highways, bridges, utilities, drainage & sewerage, watermains, site formation and civil structures
  • Be dynamic, proactive and able to work independently
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English
  • Familiar with AutoCAD or MicroStation and BIM applications will be an advantage
