Process Engineer – Nanoimprint Lithography
About the Role
Develop and optimize micro/nanofabrication processes for microlenses and metalenses, with a focus on nanoimprint lithography and photolithography.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and troubleshoot yellow-light cleanroom processes for microlenses and metalenses.
- Design and implement end-to-end UV and thermal nanoimprint lithography processes.
- Develop and optimize photolithography processes, including resist coating, exposure, development and baking.
- Develop wet processes and optimize parameters to achieve precise process-window control.
- Design and execute DOE studies to systematically validate imprint pressure, temperature and time, resist-thickness uniformity and overlay accuracy.
- Use SEM, AFM and white-light interferometry to identify defects and improve process yield.
- Write process SOPs and maintain process-parameter records and a troubleshooting knowledge base.
- Collaborate with upstream and downstream teams on etching, thin-film deposition and other process steps to ensure end-to-end compatibility.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Microelectronics, Materials Physics, Optical Engineering, Micro/Nanofabrication or a related discipline.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in semiconductor or optical micro/nanofabrication.
- Strong theoretical knowledge and hands-on proficiency in UV/thermal nanoimprint lithography, photolithography and thermal reflow.
- Familiarity with the full yellow-light process flow, including resist coating, exposure, development and etching.
- Proficiency in SEM, AFM and white-light interferometry.
- A solid foundation in micro/nano-optics; experience fabricating silicon-based lenses or diffractive optical elements is an advantage.
- Strong data-analysis skills and effective cross-functional communication and collaboration.
- Ability to work through multiple R&D iterations and proactively resolve technical challenges.
