Job summary

A-World Consulting Limited is a Hong Kong-based full-service communication and management consultancy specializing in public affairs, corporate communications and media relations. The successful candidate will assist across public affairs, stakeholder engagement, government relations, media coordination and event management for diverse clients including local corporates and Greater China players.

Fresh graduates are welcome, with 2+ years in PA/PR for senior roles; bilingual English/Chinese

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in communications/journalism/social sciences/political science or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of PA/PR experience; 1 year for Account Executive; agency background preferred.
• Proven English and Chinese proficiency; Putonghua preferred.
• Strong knowledge and interest in Hong Kong, Mainland China and international political landscape.
• Detail-minded, proactive and able to work under a tight schedule.
• Having a can-do spirit and passion to work with a team.
• Experience of working in or with media/public bodies/concern groups in Hong Kong is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Public Affairs / Stakeholder Engagement / Government Relations: plan and execute strategies with top government officials and legislators.
• Corporate Communications: advise on corporate identity, positioning and messaging for Start-ups, SMEs and MNCs.
• Public Relations / Media Relations: identify story angles and coordinate media events including press conferences.
• Event Management: ideation, planning and project management for corporate events and launches.
• Marketing Communication: provide strategic marketing/positioning from research to events.
• Issue / Crisis Management: formulate tailored responses to crisis and monitor environment.
• Others: account management, budgets, schedules and supervision of junior staff.

Job Description:

A-World Consulting’s broad portfolio comprises public bodies, property, banking, I&T, education, social welfare, aviation, automobile and construction clients and the suitable candidate is expected to assist in the following areas:

Public Affairs / Stakeholder Engagement / Government Relations - planning and executing community / stakeholder engagement strategies and programme with key stakeholders, ranging from top government officials, legislators to industry influential;

Corporate Communications - delivering tailored advice on corporate identity, positioning and packaging and key messages for corporates covering Start-ups, SMEs and MNCs;

Public Relations / Media Relations - mining unique story angles to generate positive coverage on media / coordinating various media events including press conference and featured interview;

Event Management- Event ideation and implementation, event planning and project management including corporate hospitality programmes, product launches, seminars, public events, business forum, etc;

Marketing Communication- Strategic consultancy services on marketing and positioning from market research / analysis, products / services positing and segmentation, sales and marketing channel integration to marketing events;

Issue / Crisis Management - formulating tailored strategies and prompt responses in regard to crisis / monitor the macro environment and industry developments etc. for corresponding solutions and recommendations;

Others - account management in terms of finances, schedules and deliverables / supervision of junior staff as appropriate.

Requirements:

Tertiary degree in communication/journalism/social sciences/political science or equivalent;

At least 2 years of experience in PA/PR or related industries for Senior Account Executive and 1 year for Account Executive, preferably with agency background; fresh graduates are welcome.

Proven English and Chinese proficiency; fluency in Putonghua preferred;

Strong knowledge and interest in Hong Kong, Mainland China and international political landscape and current affairs;

Detail-minded, proactive and able to work under a tight schedule;

Having a can-do spirit and passionate to work together with a team;

Experience of working in or with media / public bodies / concern groups in Hong Kong is a plus; and

Excellent business acumen, leadership and interpersonal skills, if applicable.

5-day work per week, but work outside normal working hours and days should be expected. Excellent compensation and attractive fringe benefits will be offered to the successful candidate.
