Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services, APAC is seeking a senior Wintel specialist to manage Windows Server environments, drive automation with PowerShell, and lead incident response across the Wintel stack. You will partner with stakeholders to ensure reliability and security in a large enterprise setting.

Responsibilities

• Act as SPOC for AI Infusion initiatives, identifying automation opportunities and driving the adoption of AI-powered solutions across infrastructure operations.
• Gather, design, develop, and maintain PowerShell scripts to fulfill infrastructure automation requirements, improve operational efficiency, and reduce manual effort.
• Lead Major Incident Management (MIM) in the Wintel tower, ensuring timely resolution and RCA.
• Manage BAU operations for Windows infrastructure, ensuring SLA/KPI, availability and performance targets.
• Drive automation across the Wintel environment, including provisioning, patching, monitoring, reporting, and workflows.
• Administer Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and related Microsoft tech.

Responsibilities

• Act as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for AI Infusion initiatives, identifying automation opportunities and driving the adoption of AI-powered solutions across infrastructure operations.
• Gather, design, develop, and maintain PowerShell scripts to fulfill infrastructure automation requirements, improve operational efficiency, and reduce manual effort.
• Lead and coordinate Major Incident Management (MIM) activities within the Wintel tower, ensuring timely resolution, stakeholder communication, root cause analysis, and service restoration.
• Manage and support Business-as-Usual (BAU) operations for Windows infrastructure, ensuring compliance with SLA, KPI, availability, and performance targets.
• Drive automation and transformation initiatives across the Wintel environment, including server provisioning, patching, monitoring, reporting, and operational workflows.
• Administer and support Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and related Microsoft technologies.

Technical Skills "Must Have"

• Develop, maintain, and optimize PowerShell scripts for operational tasks.
• Build automated monitoring, alerting, and compliance reports.
• Manage and support Windows Server environments (2016/2019/2022).
• Perform server installation, configuration, patching, and upgrades.
• Implement Windows security hardening based on industry standards.
• Participate in DR planning and testing exercises.

Technical Skills "Good to Have"

• Expertise in SLA and KPI management, ensuring contractual commitments and service performance targets are consistently achieved.
• Hands-on experience in Problem Management and Change Management, driving cause elimination and governance compliance.
• Strong customer relationship management skills, fostering trusted partnerships with business stakeholders and leadership teams.
• Experienced in presenting monthly service delivery reports, operational reviews, service performance metrics, and improvement plans to customers and senior management.
• Extensive experience in Major Incident Management, coordinating cross-functional teams to restore critical services and minimize business impact.

Mandatory Relevant Experience

12+ years of relevant experience in Windows Server administration, PowerShell automation, and Wintel operations.
