Cognizant Hong Kong is seeking an experienced technical implementation specialist to establish, configure, and maintain customer lab environments for retail projects. You will install and configure POS, SCO, retail applications, hardware and peripherals, manage deployments and networks, integrate with external systems, and perform end‑to‑end testing.

You will work directly with customers in workshops and handovers, and develop automation scripts using PowerShell, Python or Bash to accelerate

Qualifications

• 4–8 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in technical implementation, systems integration, software deployment, or customer-facing solution delivery.
• Strong knowledge of Linux Administration, SQL databases, TCP/IP, DNS, scripting, testing, troubleshooting.
• Understanding of Git, Docker, Kubernetes and DevOps pipeline.
• Understanding REST APIs, JSON/XML and technical documentation.
• Understanding Cloud like AZURE or AWS.
• Retail technology experience, POS/SCO and payment or peripheral systems preferred.
• Strong English communication; Cantonese advantageous for Hong Kong engagement.

• Develop scripts and utilities using PowerShell, Python, or Bash to automate installation, configuration, testing, and deployment activities.

Responsibilities

• Establishing, configuring, and maintaining customer-specific lab environments.

• Installing and configuring POS, Self-Checkout (SCO), retail applications, hardware, and peripherals.

• Managing software deployments, upgrades, patches, operating systems, databases, application services, and network connectivity.

• Integrating retail applications with external systems, payment terminals, peripherals, and third-party services.

• Performing functional, system integration, regression, and end-to-end testing, including defect investigation and root-cause analysis.

• Working directly with customers during workshops, technical discussions, troubleshooting, demonstrations, acceptance testing, and technical handovers.

• Supporting pilot deployments and operational readiness, including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and technical runbooks.

• Developing scripts and utilities using PowerShell, Python, or Bash to automate installation, configuration, testing, and deployment activities.

Qualifications and Skills

• The ideal profile has 4–8 years of relevant experience

• Technical implementation, systems integration, software deployment, technical engineering, or customer-facing solution delivery.

• Strong knowledge of Linux Administration, SQL databases, TCP/IP, DNS, scripting, testing, troubleshooting.

• Good understanding on Git, Docker, Kubernetes and DevOps pipeline

• Good understanding on REST APIs, JSON/XML and technical documentation.

• Good understanding on Cloud like AZURE or AWS

• Retail technology experience, particularly POS/SCO and payment or peripheral systems, is preferred.

• Strong English communication is required, and Cantonese proficiency would be advantageous for customer engagement in Hong Kong.
