Job summary

Hong Kong Housing Society is seeking a capable professional to provide comprehensive support for disposal of commercial and residential properties and to conduct market research on land, planning, and financial viability.

You will prepare tenders, liaise with consultants, and conduct analyses for valuation, while coordinating with government bodies for approvals. The role requires strong English and Chinese language skills and experience in real estate matters.

Qualifications

• Professional membership in RICS (General Practice) or HKIS GP Division with 2 years post-qualification experience
• Degree in Surveying, Real Estate, Land Management, Property Management or related discipline with at least 5 years’ relevant experience
• Diploma/Certificate with minimum 7 years relevant experience
• Experience in sales/marketing for residential/commercial properties, land matters, financial viability analysis, valuation; divestment/investment, tenancy, property development is advantageous
• Strong communication, interpersonal and organization skills
• Excellent spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin)
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Chinese Word processing

The Job

• Provide comprehensive professional support in market research, critically examine restrictions and opportunities on land and planning issues and prudent calculations on financial commitment and results.
• Prepare and carry out tender activities and liaise with consultants for deliverables.
• Conduct critical analyses and prepare materials for the purpose of land/property valuation.
• Assist in negotiating for and securing land grant conditions.
• Co-ordinate with consultants and government departments for approvals.
• Compile cash flow forecasts and budgetary reports to facilitate financial planning of the Society.
• Supervise and coaching the team members in their roles.

The Person

• Professional Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (General Practice Division) or of the Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors (GP Division), with 2 years’ post-qualification experience; OR
• Degree holder in Surveying, Real Estate, Land Management, Property Management or related disciplines, with at least 5 years’ relevant experience or equivalent;, OR
• Diploma / Certificate holder with minimum 7 years or above relevant experience.
• Experience in sales and/or marketing for residential/commercial properties, land matters, financial viability analysis, valuation; experience in divestment/investment of properties, tenancy matters, property development will be a definite advantage.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and organization skills.
• Excellent spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin).
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Chinese Word processing.
