Job summary

Hua Ao in Hong Kong is seeking a Payments & Treasury Manager to build banking and funds flow capabilities and support the growth of the payments business. The role combines funds flow planning, bank account opening and relationship management with payment and treasury coordination.

Key responsibilities include mapping funds flows, defining requirements for each business line, leading bank discussions, and ensuring smooth settlement and reconciliation as the business scales.

Qualifications

• Experience in payments, remittances, fintech, treasury or banking operations, preferably in Hong Kong.
• Practical understanding of bank onboarding, cross-border funds flows and payment or settlement processes.
• Ability to work across business, finance and compliance teams and explain complex funds flows clearly to external partners.
• Strong ownership, attention to detail and English and Mandarin communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Map end-to-end funds flows across customer payments, currency conversion, remittances and overseas partners.
• Identify account, currency, payment and settlement requirements for each business line.
• Lead discussions with banks and other financial partners; coordinate account opening, due diligence materials and ongoing relationship management.
• Work with Finance, Operations and Compliance to resolve payment and settlement issues, manage account requirements and maintain alternative banking options.
• Support cash visibility, funding arrangements and reconciliation as the business scales.
