Job summary

Ambition is seeking an experienced Manager to lead Payment Systems & Business Operations in Hong Kong. The role focuses on enhancing and implementing payment systems, coordinating with banks, regulators, and tech teams, and driving operational improvements.

Candidates should have strong background in payment operations, clearing & settlement, or related financial services, with proven leadership for the manager level. English and Chinese communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Business Administration, Banking, Finance, or Information Systems.
• Assistant Manager level: 2–5 years of relevant experience.
• Manager level: 8+ years with leadership or supervisory exposure.
• Experience in Payment Operations, Clearing & Settlement, Transaction Banking.

Responsibilities

• Support and manage strategic payment system enhancement and implementation projects.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders, banks, regulators, technology teams, and business partners to deliver new initiatives and operational improvements.
• Conduct business analysis, process reviews, and feasibility assessments for new services and enhancements.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of operational procedures, business rules, and implementation documentation.
• Oversee and monitor payment, clearing, and settlement operations to ensure service quality and regulatory compliance.
• Manage operational incidents, issues, and stakeholder communications to ensure prompt resolution.
• Participate in service rollout, user onboarding, testing, and implementation activities.
• Drive process improvement and operational excellence initiatives across payment and clearing services.
• Prepare management presentations, business proposals, and stakeholder communications.
