Job summary

JPC TEXSON LTD is seeking an experienced Head of Trading to lead our OTC trading team in Hong Kong. You will oversee quoting, execution, risk monitoring, hedging, and counterparty management while ensuring strict adherence to SFC rules and internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematical Finance, Economics, or related field.
• 8+ years of hands-on OTC derivatives trading experience in private banking, investment banking, or large financial institution.
• Strong knowledge of OTC products, including equities, index options, ELNs, FCNs, and structured products.
• Solid understanding of ISDA and CSA agreements and the full OTC trade lifecycle.
• Proven experience in trade execution, desk risk monitoring, and hedging.
• Relevant SFC licences are required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the daily OTC trading operations.
• Execute OTC trades in line with internal strategies and approved trading orders.
• Quote and trade products including equities, index options, ELNs, FCNs, and other OTC products.
• Monitor trading positions, market risks, and profit and loss performance.
• Implement hedging strategies to keep risks within approved limits.
• Build and maintain relationships with global investment banks and financial institutions.
• Conduct counterparty credit assessments and monitor credit and collateral risks.
• Supervise the team’s daily quoting and trade execution activities.
• Ensure trading activities comply with SFC rules, KYC, AML, and internal policies.
• Work with risk, compliance, settlement, and middle-office teams across the trade lifecycle.
• Prepare regular trading, risk, and performance reports for senior management.
