Job summary

ACCA Careers in Hong Kong seeks a fund accounting/hedge fund operations professional to manage daily fund operations, NAV estimates, and trade settlement with PMS. You will coordinate with prime brokers, fund administrator and system vendors to ensure accurate accounting and smooth processes.

Ideal candidates hold a degree in accounting/finance and have 3–5 years’ experience, with strong Excel skills and exposure to Python; knowledge of financial products and compliance is a plus.

Qualifications

• Degree holder in Accounting and Finance or related discipline.
• 3-5 years of relevant work experience in fund accounting or hedge fund operations.
• Experience in the use of portfolio management system/software
• Detailed-oriented, self-motivated and ability to multi-task
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word and knowledge of programming skills such as Python
• A good understanding of financial products (Options, fixed income, swaps, NDFs)
• Experience in compliance will be beneficial
• Fluency in English, Cantonese/mandarin encouraged

Responsibilities

• Daily fund operations
• Trade entry and affirmation process (via PMS), and monitor of trade settlement
• Reconciliations against custodians and prime brokers
• Liaise with prime brokers, fund administrator and system vendors on break resolution
• Corporate actions
• Cash management - margin and collateral, facilitating payments
• Monitor short positions and disclosure obligations
• NAV Reconciliation
• Weekly and monthly NAV estimates
• Liaise with prime brokers and fund administrator
• NAV, P/L and valuation review, ensure accuracy of accounting entries against fund administrator
• Monitor fund capital activities
• Streamline operations process, to identify internal workflow improvements.
• Support risk and finance functions such as operations control and annual fund audit.
• Ad-hoc projects
