Responsibilities

Our client is a well-established Hedge Funds manager with approximately US$5 billion in assets under management. Due to continued business growth, they are seeking a high-calibre Fund Accountant to join their finance team in Hong Kong.

The Role

• Manage the full spectrum of fund accounting and NAV oversight for hedge fund portfolios.
• Review daily, weekly, and monthly NAV calculations prepared by fund administrators.
• Perform portfolio valuation reviews and investigate valuation exceptions.
• Reconcile fund positions, cash balances, and investment transactions with custodians and administrators.
• Coordinate closely with external fund administrators, auditors, prime brokers, custodians, and internal investment teams.
• Review fund expenses, management fees, incentive/performance fees, and investor allocations.
• Participate in fund launches, structure changes, and other strategic initiatives across the business.
• Assist with ad hoc projects and management reporting as required.

Your Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related disciplines.
• Qualified Accountant (CPA, ACCA, CA or equivalent) is preferred.
• 3-6 years of relevant experience in hedge funds operations or hedge funds administration.
• Prefer candidate with Long/Short equity exposure
• Familiarity with fund structures, fund operations, and financial reporting requirements.
