Gientech Technology (Hong Kong) Limited seeks a proactive System Engineer to support the HK Gov’t project on-site at the client premises in Wanchai. You will bridge client stakeholders and offshore teams, ensuring stability, security, and uptime.

Key tasks include server maintenance, capacity planning, incident management, and thorough documentation. Strong ITIL/ITSM knowledge and fluent Cantonese/Mandarin with written English are required, enabling clear cross-border collaboration.

Competenze

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
Proven track record in system maintenance and infrastructure support for large-scale public sector projects.
Hands-on experience with Linux, Veritas NetBackup (NBU), and Kubernetes (K8S).
Experience implementing IT security controls and ITIL/ITSM processes.
Strong communication skills to liaise with clients and offshore teams.

Mansioni

Install, configure, integrate, and upgrade core infrastructure and servers.
Perform routine maintenance, patching, and performance tuning for high availability.
Monitor capacity and performance; recommend scaling actions.
Diagnose complex issues, perform root-cause analysis, and resolve incidents within SLA.
Articulate technical recommendations to clients and government stakeholders.
Prepare technical documentation, change records, and incident reports.
Coordinate system changes and incident handling with offshore teams and the client.
