Job summary

Xgate in Hong Kong is seeking an IT Systems Engineer to deploy and document in-house systems and architectures, while regularly assessing security procedures to ensure effective operations. You will work independently to meet company milestones and respond to off-hour priority situations.

The role requires solid Linux, networking and security knowledge; big data experience is a plus. A degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science with at least 3 years of experience and strong English

Qualifications

Solid background knowledge in Linux, networking and security.
Big data experience would be an asset.
Independent, proactive, multi-tasking, hard-working and willing to work under pressure.
Good people skills, communications skills and organisational skills.
Degree graduate in Computer Engineering/ Computer Science or similar discipline.
Minimum 3 years of experience; Good command of English is a must.

Responsibilities

Deploy and document in-house systems and architecture.
Perform checks and assessment periodically to ensure IT security procedures are adhered to and operating effectively.
Able to work independently and produce results as per company milestones.
Response to off hour priority situations.
Provide troubleshoot and performance tuning in servers and systems.
