Job summary

Centre for Immunology & Infection Limited in Hong Kong invites applications for Research Assistant I/II on a one-year contract with the possibility of renewal. The appointees will contribute to the development, optimization and execution of nucleic acid amplification-based diagnostic methods under an established team.

Requirements include a Master’s degree or higher in Biomedical Engineering, Biology, Chemistry or Virology, with at least two years of hands-on nucleic acid analysis experience.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in Biomedical Engineering, Biology, Chemistry, Virology or related fields.
• At least two years of hands-on experience in nucleic acid analysis.
• Experience with nucleic acid amplification techniques (PCR/qPCR/LAMP/RPA).
• Familiarity with CRISPR technology and next‑generation sequencing is a bonus.
• Fluency in English and Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese).

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize and execute nucleic acid amplification-based diagnostic methods.
• Perform nucleic acid extraction and document procedures for reproducibility.
• Collaborate in a team with self-motivation and willingness to learn new techniques.
