Job summary

Centre for Immunology & Infection (C2i) invites applications for Research Assistant I/II to support biomarker discovery and diagnostic development in Hong Kong. The role focuses on developing, optimizing, and executing nucleic acid amplification-based diagnostics within a collaborative team.

Requirements include a Master’s degree or higher in Biomedical Engineering, Biology, Chemistry, Virology or related fields, and at least two years of hands-on experience in nucleic acid analysis.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in Biomedical Engineering, Biology, Chemistry, Virology or related fields.
• At least two years of hands-on experience in nucleic acid analysis or related biology/biomedical fields.
• Familiar with CRISPR technology and next-generation sequencing (NGS) would be a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize and execute novel nucleic acid amplification-based diagnostics.
• Collaborate in a team with self-motivation and eagerness to learn new techniques.
• Perform nucleic acid extraction and meticulously document procedures and results to ensure reproducibility and quality.
