Job summary

Centre for Immunology & Infection - C2i invites applications for Research Assistant I/II on a one-year contract. The appointee will join a multidisciplinary team to support field sampling, genomic sequencing, surveillance, and data management.

Applicants should hold a Bachelor\'s degree or higher in Biological Sciences or related fields, with good IT skills and fluency in English and Chinese. Experience in fieldwork or molecular biology is an advantage; salary is competitive.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in Biological Sciences, Molecular Biology, Ecology, Evolutionary Biology, Public Health, Laboratory Techniques or related disciplines.
• Good computer knowledge and IT skills; strong written and spoken English and Chinese (including Mandarin).
• Fieldwork or molecular biology experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist in routine fieldwork sampling and genomic sequencing.
• Support surveillance activities and basic sample processing.
• Coordinate laboratory tasks, data recording, entry and filling, and database maintenance.
• Maintain fieldwork equipment and contribute to data entry.
• Collaborate in a multidisciplinary team and learn new techniques as needed.
