Job summary

A technology services company in Hong Kong is seeking a Network Engineer to design, deploy, and maintain network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in switching and routing, knowledge of firewall technologies, and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems. Responsibilities include network design, training team members, and ensuring compliance with security guidelines. The role may occasionally require working outside of office hours.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, support and maintain the local, metropolitan and wide area network infrastructure and perimeter security devices with standard designs and configurations, take part in technical product planning, development and deployment
• Work in line with business requirements and security guidelines and thereby provide constant support till the closure of the assigned tasks
• Prepare and deliver training to the team and review existing technical network diagrams, documentation and associated system processes pertaining to the configuration of the entire network, in line with Company and departmental standards
• Maintain up to date levels of operating systems, configurations, backups and all associated documentation, at all times, all while ensuring Company and Team change management processes and procedures are followed correctly
• Participate in the meetings pertaining to new build activities and understand the scope work

Job Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Information Systems or Computer Science is preferred
• At least 2 years work experience in switching, routing, and firewall technologies and network security principles. Cisco(R&S), Huawei, Juniper, F5, wireless, Firewalls (Juniper/Palo Alto/Fortinet)
• Exposure to and knowledge of the following: WAN Optimization, Load Balancing, High Availability, Proxy appliances, Switching & Routing technologies, Network Monitoring, Policy Based Routing, EIGRP, OSPF, IS-IS, BGP, HSRP/VRRP, IPSEC and QoS principles etc
• Holder of CCNP/CCIE is definitely and advantage
• Occasionally work outside of office hours
