Job summary

CITIC Telecom International Holdings Limited is seeking a Network Engineer with overseas and regional exposure to design, plan, and engineer network and cloud platforms. The role involves managing TrueCONNECT, Global Ethernet, HK ISP and China ISP networks, reviewing performance, and supporting multiple teams in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has a degree in CS/Engineering and at least 3 years of hands-on experience with routers, switches, firewalls, VPN gateways, and cloud

Qualifications

Degree holder in Computer Science, Engineering or related disciplines.
Hands-on experience with routers, switches, firewalls and VPN gateways.
Familiarity with virtualization (VMware/KVM) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).

Responsibilities

Design, plan, and engineer network and cloud platforms to meet product specifications and operational requirements.
Establish, operate and manage network and system elements in TrueCONNECT, Global Ethernet, HK ISP and China ISP.
Review and enhance network performance to maintain high service levels.
Provide pre-sales and post-sales support to other departments.
Offer escalation support and collaborate with the operations team on daily tasks.
Carry out emergency duties and ad-hoc tasks as needed.

Design, plan, and engineer various network and cloud platforms to meet product specifications and operational requirements.

Requirements:

Degree holder or above in Computer Science, Engineering, or related disciplines with a focus on network and cloud engineering.

Minimum of 3 years of solid experience in engineering network and cloud platforms, data center operations, and customer technical support in the telecommunications field. Less experienced candidate will be considered as Assistant Engineer.

Hands-on experience with routers, switches, firewalls, and VPN gateways.

Proficient in virtualization tools such as VMware and KVM, as well as containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.

Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, MPLS, VPNs, Transmission, SD-WAN, SASE, Internet, Public Cloud (AWS, Azure, Aliyun), DNS, and network monitoring tools.

Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) for automation is a plus.

Professional certification from Cisco, Juniper, Huawei, or public cloud providers is preferred.

Ability to work under pressure and independently.

Excellent interpersonal and project management skills.

Proficient in spoken and written English, Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin).

Standby duty is required
