Job summary

Tachyon Talent Solutions seeks a Securities Operations Specialist in Hong Kong to execute daily settlement processes across HKEX and international markets, and to provide essential trade support.

You will monitor settlement cycles, manage fails, and coordinate with custodians, brokers, and internal risk teams, ensuring compliance with SFC regulations.

The role requires 2–5 years of securities operations experience, strong Excel skills, and fluency in English and Chinese.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field.
• Minimum 2–5 years of relevant experience in securities operations, preferably in a brokerage, custodian, or asset management firm.
• Solid understanding of trade processes, settlement cycles, and market infrastructure in Hong Kong and/or international markets.
• Familiarity with CCASS, HKEX clearing systems, and SWIFT messaging is a strong plus.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and experience with operations systems (e.g., Bloomberg, Reuters, Aladdin, or proprietary platforms).
• Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to work under pressure in a deadline-driven environment.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Chinese

Responsibilities

• Execute daily settlement processes for equities, fixed income, derivatives, and other financial instruments across HKEX, CCASS, and international markets.
• Provide trade support including trade confirmation, matching, reconciliation, and exception resolution.
• Monitor and manage settlement fails, corporate actions, and margin/collateral processes.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders (Front Office, Risk, Compliance, IT) and external counterparties (custodians, prime brokers, clearing houses) to resolve operational issues promptly.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies, including SFC regulations and operational risk frameworks.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives, system testing, and UAT for operations-related technology enhancements.
• Support ad-hoc projects and operational due diligence as required.
