Job summary

Thomas Philipps Far East Limited in Hong Kong is seeking a Merchandiser to handle quotation comparisons, price negotiations with vendors, and product development, ensuring timely transportation and distribution. You will directly communicate with German counterpart to ensure service delivery, follow up on orders, monitor shipments, and advise on status while maintaining organized records.

The role requires 4+ years sourcing experience in Garden/DIY tools and related items, strong

Qualifications

• Tertiary education graduate in Form 6 or above
• More than 4 years relevant experience in sourcing and merchandising for Garden, DIY tools, Decoration, Household and Electrical Appliance items for the RPC market
• Solid experience liaising with China vendors and overseas counterpart
• Good command of English, Mandarin and Cantonese
• PC knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Chinese word processing is a must

Responsibilities

• Handle quotation comparison and price negotiation with vendors and product development
• Ensure timely transportation, shipment and distribution of shipments according to company guidelines and local regulations
• Directly communicate with German counterpart to ensure services required have been met from all vendors
• Follow-up on orders taken including monitoring, tracking of shipments and advising German counterpart on shipment status
• Maintain filing and documentation systematically
• Provide administrative and clerical support
• Participate in ad-hoc projects as assigned
• Flexible and available for occasional business travel to Mainland China as required

Requirements:

Good interpersonal and communication skills with buyer, vendors and co-worker

Detail-minded with good efficiency and well organized in work

Self-motivate and ability to multi-tasking

Good command of both written and spoken English, Mandarin and Cantonese

Comprehensive knowledge PC knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Chinese word processing is must

Less experience will be considered as Junior Merchandiser
