Job summary

Leadingnation is seeking a Merchandiser to support the merchandising team in delivering high-quality products through the product development process. This role will work closely with regional teams, vendors, factories, customers, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely sample development, cost management, order execution, and customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate has strong merchandising and production follow-up experience, solid garment development knowledge, and proficiency in MS

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years merchandising experience in apparel or textile.
• Experience with low-volume, high-style-complexity orders.
• Strong merchandising and production follow-up.
• Solid knowledge of garment development and manufacturing.
• Basic understanding of social compliance standards.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate sample orders from US or Kontoor Asia to production.
• Ensure timely sample development and on-time delivery to customers.
• Maintain cost control and alignment with bulk costing.
• Review samples for production-friendliness for final bulk maker.
• Follow up with regional teams, vendors, and customers to ensure satisfaction.
• Monitor and submit cost packages and purchase orders accurately.
• Communicate requirements clearly to regional teams and factories.
• Ensure vendor reports and cost breakups are complete and timely.
• Support PO release, PR approvals, and related system tasks.
• Perform other duties assigned by supervisor.

ABOUT YOUR ROLE:

We are seeking a Merchandiser to support the merchandising team in delivering high-quality products and services throughout the product development process. This role will work closely with regional teams, vendors, factories, customers, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely sample development, cost management, order execution, and customer satisfaction.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

Include but not limited to

• To collect sample order from the US or Kontoor Asia, then arrangement to produce the garment sample and export to the customers.
• Consolidate and corporate internal production and washing process to maintain good quality, and keep up with targeted lead time for all development samples.
• Review the samples to ensure they are production-friendly in the final bulk garment maker.
• Work out the initial cost in each style's development stage and get closer to bulk cost.
• Follow up the bulk standard and meet the approval deadline provided by the Kontoor Asia team.
• Provide development package to Asia team for bulk costing, and ensure PDM up to date.
• Check fabric and trims inventory timely and replenish if necessary, to actual and potential need.
• Follow up orders with Regional team, vendors, customers, and internal parties to ensure customer satisfaction and on-time delivery.
• Review Cost packages & Purchase Orders thoroughly to ensure accuracy of all data prior to submit to Supervisor/Manager for further review.
• Handle & Communicate customers’ requirements clearly and accurately to Regional team ,factories and ensure all parties understanding.
• Ensure documents from Regional team/ factories, e.g. vendor review reports, cost break ups, mini markers etc come on time & are complete.
• PO release, PR approval and other system related work monitoring
• Other duties assigned by supervisor

WHAT WE WILL BE LOOKING FOR IN YOU:

Experience & Technical Skills

• Minimum 7 years of merchandising experience in the apparel or textile industry.
• Experience supporting business models characterized by lower-volume, high-style-complexity orders is preferred.
• Strong merchandising and production follow-up experience.
• Solid product knowledge and understanding of garment development and manufacturing processes.
• Basic knowledge of social compliance requirements and industry standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Language Requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant industry experience.
• Education in Textiles, Apparel, Manufacturing, or a related field is highly preferred.
