Reporting to Senior Merchandising Manager, this role handles Woven focus trend research, market intelligence, sourcing, development, costing and production in MENS & WOMENS. The position manages the full product life cycle in all aspects of the merchandising process from design & sample development, sourcing, costing negotiation, time & action calendar, order placement, production until delivery shipment.
Key responsibilities
- Manage & follow up full product life cycle in all aspects of merchandising process from design & sample development, sourcing, costing negotiation, time & action calendar, order placement, production until delivery shipment
- Manage vendor allocation & sourcing strategy to start with the right vendors from PD cycle
- Conduct costing analysis & negotiate best price with cost options for New York Office to ensure attainment of the required target price & profit margin, & secure the products integrity and quality
- Liaise and co-ordinate with Vendors and Quality Assurance Department to ensure all issues relating to factory capacity, capability and credibility are addressed to deliver a high quality of product to uphold the Company & Brand image
- Refine the SOP internally & externally to drive better efficiency
- Understand the root cause of any production problems & provide the best solutions
- Coach the subordinates to have mutual growth
About you
- Degree holder in Fashion Textile/Merchandising or related disciplines is preferable
- Minimum 8 years' experience in woven apparel industry with 3 years in Asst Manager, preferably in US fashion company
- PLM system and denim experience is a plus
- Familiar with US markets
- Strong product knowhow in denim, washes, woven & good understanding of factory process
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiation, problem-solving, supervising, presentation skills
- Excellent spoken & written English, Cantonese and Mandarin
- Strong computer skills such as excel, PPT
