Job summary

Ralph Lauren Corporation in Hong Kong seeks an experienced Sourcing professional to lead sweater production from design through pre-production. You will coordinate proto samples, stock fittings and ensure high data integrity across POs.

With 3+ years in fashion sourcing and strong English, Cantonese and Mandarin, you’ll work closely with suppliers and cross-functional teams to maintain quality and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Diploma or above in Fashion/Textile or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience, preferably with high-end fashion brands.
• Sound technical knowledge in sweater and yarn; broad product/fabric knowledge is a plus.
• Experience with buying offices, garment manufacturing and large trading firms.
• Experience with USA and Europe markets; strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Merchandising activities for product development.
• Coordinate development activities including proto samples, stock fitting, pre-production samples, and ensure raw materials meet standards.
• System management for Sample PO issuing with data accuracy.
• Manage sample deliveries and update POs to ensure status is accurate for reporting.
• Collaborate with suppliers on OTB schedule for planning and buying.

Position Overview

This position will report to Senior Sourcing Manager, Sweater, responsible for all areas of garment manufacturing.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Responsible for the merchandising activities for Product development
• Coordinate & follow up development activities including proto samples, stock fitting, pre-production samples, and all the raw materials are up to standards and approved in a timely manner
• System management for Sample PO issuing with high integrity of data accuracy
• Manage sample deliveries and maintain POs updates to ensure status is accurate for reporting
• Work with suppliers on OTB schedule for planning and buy
• Communicate & coordinate effectively with internal and external counterparts
• Maintain and update system data
• Handle day-to-day communications, eg email, documentation, and filing work

Experience, Skills & Knowledge

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience, preferably working with high end fashion brand
• Diploma or above holder in Fashion/Textile or related disciplines
• Sound technical knowledge in sweater & yarn; knowing a broad range of products and fabric types is a plus
• Experience working in buying office, garment manufacturing and large trading firms
• Experience with both USA and Europe markets
• Self-motivated, independent, strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Good command of spoken and written English, Cantonese and Mandarin
• Strong computer knowledge in Microsoft Office
• PLM & SAP system knowledge would be an advantage
