Job summary

TAL Apparel Limited in Hong Kong seeks a detail-oriented professional to conduct trend and theme analysis, develop design boards, and curate sample collections for presentation. You will work closely with internal departments and external partners to support the product development process.

The role involves researching emerging trends, creating presentation materials, and assisting in identifying key themes for upcoming development seasons.

Qualifications

• Degree in Fashion & Textiles or related field is preferred.
• Experience with fabric and trims trend analysis and manufacturing processes.
• Good understanding of US apparel brands and fabric knowledge.
• Excellent written and spoken English and Chinese (Mandarin).

Responsibilities

Job description

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented professional to conduct trend and theme analysis, develop design boards, and curate sample collections for presentation. The successful candidate will work closely with internal departments and external partners to support the product development process.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive research and gather insights on emerging and future fashion trends.
• Develop trend presentation materials for customer presentations.
• Assist the Manager in identifying and determining key themes for upcoming development seasons.
• Identify relevant designs, patterns, and concepts for inclusion in design boards and sample collections.
• Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to source materials and coordinate sample collection activities.
• Communicate regularly with factories and provide daily support to the Product Development Manager in following up on sample development and order-related enquiries.
• Prepare product development samples, shipment samples, and fabric swatches each season and in response to customer requests.

What we are looking for:

• Degree holder, preferably in Fashion & Textiles related subjects
• Minimum of 2 years working experience in apparel product development
• Good understanding of US apparel brands with fabric knowledge
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Strong experience of fabric and trims trend analysis and apparel manufacturing processes.
• Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese including Mandarin
