Job summary

Defond Electrical Industries Limited is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to contribute to mechanical design of products, selecting components and materials, creating 3D/2D drawings, defining specifications, preparing BOMs, supporting NPD and production processes, and maintaining design changes.

You will support project activities with production teams, prepare project documents and reports, and assist in resolving engineering issues, while communicating clearly in English and Mandarin and showing a

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline.
• Knowledge of 3D modeling software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Pro/ENGINEER, CATIA.
• Experience in designs like waterproof, HMI, optical parts, sensors; industrial standards advantageous.
• Self-motivated and eager to learn.
• Good problem solving and communication skills with team spirit.
• Strong written and spoken English and Mandarin communication.

Responsibilities

The Role

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will:

• Assist in mechanical design of product to fulfil requirements, including but not limited to components and material selections, 3D/2D drawing, define of specifications, BOM preparation, NPD and production process, and maintenance of design changes, etc.
• Support evaluation of products and parts and assist in resolving engineering issues.
• Prepare documents and regular reports for assigned projects.
• Support project related activities with project and production teams
• Assist in ad hoc projects as assigned.

Skills & Experience

The ideal candidate should possess the following skills and experience:

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related disciplines.
• Knowledge of 3Dmodeling software, such as AutoCAD, solid works, Pro E, CATIA, etc.
• Experience on design such as waterproof, HMI, optical parts, sensors and industrial standards will be an advantage.
• Self-motivated and eager to learn.
• Good problem solving and communication skills with good team spirits.
• Good communication of both written and spoken English and Mandarin.
