Job summary

AgriFuture HK Limited in Hong Kong is seeking an hands-on R&D Engineer (Mech) to drive the physical design of our product. You will design mechanical systems and ensure the framework works with electronics while meeting thermal and functional requirements.

You will create 3D CAD models and 2D drawings, collaborate with electronics and software teams for PCB and sensor integration, and rapidly prototype using 3D printing or fabrication methods.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related STEM.
• Degree from a local Hong Kong university or a top-100 non-local institution.
• Hong Kong Permanent Resident or eligible to work full-time in Hong Kong.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, AutoCAD).
• Strong understanding of materials and manufacturing processes (injection molding, CNC, sheet metal).

Job description

We are looking for hands-on R&D Engineer (Mech) to drive the physical design of our product. You will be responsible for designing industrial systems, ensuring the mechanical framework can work with the electronics seamlessly, while meeting thermal and functional requirements. You will work directly alongside our software engineers in a highly collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

Design and develop mechanical systems for our hardware product

Create detailed 3D CAD models and 2D manufacturing drawings (e.g., SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or equivalent)

Collaborate with electronics and software teams to ensure seamless integration of PCBs, sensors, and wiring within the mechanical constraints

Rapidly prototype designs using 3D printing, or other fabrication methods

Prepare designs for Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA), working with external suppliers and manufacturers

About you

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related STEM discipline

Degree must be awarded by a local Hong Kong university OR a well-recognized top-100 non-local institution

Must be a Hong Kong Permanent Resident or legally permitted to work full-time in Hong Kong

Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Fusion 360, AutoCAD)

Strong understanding of materials (plastics, metals) and manufacturing processes (injection molding, CNC, sheet metal)

Problem-solver with strong communication skills, comfortable working in a fast-paced, small-team environment
