Job summary

Venture Corporation Limited, headquartered in Singapore, is seeking an Engineering Assistant, Manufacturing at our Ang Mo Kio headquarters. You will help set up, improve, and maintain manufacturing processes, document workflows, and support production with issue resolution and quality control.

The role requires 1-2 years in contract manufacturing or EMS, basic electronics knowledge, and the ability to read assembly drawings.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in Contract Manufacturing or Electronics Manufacturing Services
• Prior experience in a manufacturing or process engineering setting is advantageous.
• Basic understanding of electronics and assembly processes (SMT, wave soldering, hand soldering etc.).
• Ability to interpret assembly drawings and simple technical documents.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for setting up, improving, and maintaining manufacturing processes.
• Help create and update work instructions and process documents.
• Support new product builds and help prepare production materials.
• Assist with setting up and improving assembly processes (SMT, through-hole, etc.).
• Identify and manage process improvements relating to product quality, cost, cycle time and manufacturing line efficiencies.
• Analyze, propose and implement corrective action plans to resolve quality issues.
• Provide line support and optimization of yield improvement plans.
• Support the setup and maintenance of tools, jigs, and fixtures.
• Set up BOM, prepare Venture Standard Operating Procedure and Engineering Alert.
• Conduct training for the Production Associates.
• Must be able to support other shift / area when required by superior.
• Authorized to report production issues and suggest improvement opportunities to engineering and production management.
• May implement minor approved changes in documentation or work methods under the direction of a Manufacturing Engineer.
• May interface with suppliers and vendors regarding basic tooling or materials upon supervisor direction
