Job summary

Hong Kong Red Cross is seeking a Manager (Training Centre) to lead the Training team and work closely with the Senior Manager to develop and execute initiatives that support the organization’s humanitarian mission. You will ensure the department achieves its goals effectively and efficiently.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in social sciences, at least 5 years’ post-graduate experience (3 in supervision), and strong English and Cantonese/Putonghua communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social sciences.
• Minimum of 5 years’ post-graduate experience, with at least 3 years in supervisory role.
• Experience managing ERB courses.
• Knowledge in managing and developing training course.
• Experience operating a training centre and handling customer enquiries and complaints.
• Mature personality with strategic mindset and strong leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise staff to execute service development and evaluation based on the Corporate Strategic Plan.
• Oversee training strategies, develop new initiatives, ensure training quality and efficiency.
• Guide managers and staff in delivering high-quality customer services and ERB training issues.
• Supervise trainers/volunteers in health, nursing and public health training delivery.
• Maintain relationships with stakeholders to gain collaboration and support.
• Develop funding proposals to enhance and support training centre operations.
• Oversee qualifications recognition and accreditation processes.

Manager (Training Centre)

Job purpose:

To provide leadership for Training team of Training Centre. S/he works closely with the Senior Manager (Training Centre) to lead development and execution of Training team to support the Hong Kong Red Cross in delivering its humanitarian services to fulfill its vision and mission. S/he will ensure the departmental goals have been successfully achieved in an effective and efficiency way.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise staff to execute service development plan, implementation plan and service evaluation based on the Hong Kong Red Cross Corporate Strategic Plan
• Lead and oversee the implementation of training related strategies, including explore and develop new initiatives, assure training quality and efficiency, and continuous improvement and enhancement to meet social needs and community expectations
• Lead and guide assistant managers and training executives in providing quality customer services and handling all ERB training related issues in the training centre
• Lead and supervise trainers/volunteers in providing health, nursing and public health related training / service delivery
• Establish and maintain effective relationship with stakeholders, including ERB, corporates, trainers, institutions, service teams of the Agency etc. to gain knowledge, collaboration and support
• Develop funding proposals to solicit funding to enhance and support the operation and development of the training centre
• Manage and oversee qualifications recognition and accreditation processes, including assessment of academic and professional qualifications

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in social sciences discipline
• Minimum of 5 years’ post-graduate and relevant work experience, in which at least 3 years at supervisory level
• Sound experiences in managing and overseeing ERB courses
• Good knowledge and experiences in managing and developing training course
• Knowledge and experiences in managing the operation of a training centre and handling customers’ enquiry and complaint
• Mature personality, strategic-minded with vision, strong interpersonal, management and leadership skills
• Excellent command of both written and oral English, Chinese/Cantonese/Putonghua

Contract Period: 2 years (Renewable)
