Hong Kong Red Cross is seeking a Deputy Resource Development Manager to support the Marketing and Event team in identifying fundraising opportunities through market research and data analysis.

You will assist in campaign strategy development, manage cross‑functional collaboration with internal and external partners, and help plan projects, events, and budgets to achieve the organization’s fundraising goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related discipline (Marketing, Communications or Business Development).
• Minimum 3 years in event management, marketing development or fundraising campaigns.
• Strong communication with the management team and engaging with internal and external stakeholders.
• Positive, can-do mindset with ability to mobilize team members.
• Hands-on team management experience is a plus.
• NGO experience is advantageous.
• Excellent command of English, Chinese/Cantonese/Putonghua.

Responsibilities

• Support planning and goal setting of event projects and related initiatives.
• Ensure cost effectiveness in fundraising and marketing events including Direct Mailing and Digital Fundraising.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, external vendors and partners for smooth project execution.
• Evaluate existing initiatives and develop new channels and projects.
• Design and plan projects with milestones, budgets, resources and contingency plans.
• Track projects, manage on-site operations, generate post-event reports and perform data analysis.
• Support management in implementing new strategies and policies.

Deputy Resource Development Manager

Job Purpose

The post is to support the management of Marketing and Event team to identify the major trends of the market to detect fundraising opportunities by conducting market research and data analysis. Moreover, s/he will assist the Management team in fundraising campaign strategy development to achieve the team’s one-off fundraising goal.

Key Responsibilities

• Report to Manager/Senior Manager and assist in overall planning and goal setting of event projects and related initiatives
• Ensure cost effectiveness and operational efficiency in fundraising & marketing events. Including planning and execution, content preparation and operational support on Direct Mailing, Digital Fundraising etc.
• Closely collaborate with cross-functional teams, internal departments, external vendors/partners to ensure the smooth implementation of the projects
• Assist in evaluating existing projects/initiatives, giving recommendations to streamline processes, identifying new channels and developing new projects
• Design and planning for projects and events, develop project milestones, budget plan, resources plan, personnel plan, deployment plan and contingency plan to ensure the project goes smooth
• Engage in project tracking, onsite management, post-event report, data analysis, figure presentation and staff performance evaluation
• Support management team in implementation of new strategies, policies and/or initiatives

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree holder in related discipline, preferably in Marketing, Communications or Business Development
• Minimum of 3 years relevant work experience, preferably in event management, marketing development, and fundraising campaign
• Strong communicator, with ability communicating with the management team, and engaging with both internal and external stakeholders
• Positive thinking mindset, upholding can-do spirit and managing to mobilize other team members
• Hands-on experience in team management will be an advantage
• Prior working experience in NGO will be an advantage
• Excellent command of both written and oral English, Chinese/Cantonese/ Putonghua.
